The Awami League yesterday demanded of the Government to officially observe August 15, the day Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was killed in a military putsch along with his family members, as the National Mourning Day.
The demand was made following the first “informal” meeting of the party leadership after the arrest of Awami League (AL) President Sheikh Hasina on July 16.
The meeting also demanded immediate release of the party President Sheikh Hasina. [Read more]
